8 levels: 1=Beginner, 2=Elementary, 3=Pre-intermediate, 4=Intermediate, 5=Upper-intermediate, 6=Advanced, 7=Proficient and 8=Quasi-native.
Duration of a private learning programme
That would depend on whether:
- the learner would like a longer course to be taught through private lessons
- the learner wishes to review a shorter topic
- the learner wishes to prepare for an exam or a job interview
- the learner has other ad-hoc needs

Option of tuition on a short break
Tuition on a short break is suited to groups, not individuals. However, all our courses with the suffixes CFI and TFI have options of tuition on short breaks.
Not off-the-shelf programmes
By definition, private tuition is tailor made. However, private lessons can be used to study an off-the-shelf course.

What does one get on private learning programmes (EFL)?
Can prospective learners begin at any time?
Yes, after a free assessment by Beecham of their current level of ability in the English language.
Do learners receive tuition their current level of ability in English?
Yes, with the objective of improving their current ability as quickly as possible.
Freedom to progress at one's own pace?
Yes. In general, learners who take private tuition achieve their objectives faster than those learners who take group lessons.
Computerised progress tests?
Yes.

Suitability to prepare for university-entry tests in any country?

Pre-enrolment information for Private Tuition (EFL):
Is there free assessment of current ability in English?
Yes.
Is there an enrolment fee?
No.
Is there a materials fee?
Yes. It is payable on enrolment before you can begin. Materials cost approximately 50 Euros for evry 5-hour contract of private lessons. The materials fee is not refundable if the learner withdraws from a course after enrolment.
Is there an option to pay the tuition fee in instalments?
No. The minimum contract of 5 hours is too short for the tuition fee to be paid in instalments. However, for contracts of private tuition of more than 20 hours, payment by instalments may be possible by prior arrangement.
Is there a minimum contract for enrolment hours?
Yes. 5 hours. However, the prospective learner may purchase any number of hours exceeding 5 hours.
Are there discount available for private lessons?
Only if the prospective learner enrols for contracts of private tuition of more than 20 hours. The amount of discount will be agreed at the point of any such enrolments.
Is there a minimum ability in EFL expected?
No. A prospective learner may be an absolute beginner.
What is your refunds policy on private programmes of learning?
Online or in-person tuition:
(i) if an enrolment is cancelled, at least 14 days before the date of the commencement of the course, then 100% of the contract value, is refunded;
(ii) if an enrolment is cancelled, giving us less than 14 days’ before the commencement date, then 75% of the contract value is refunded;
(iii) if the student withdraws after commencing the course, then 50% of the unutilised value of the contract is refunded.
Tuition on a short break: not applicable to private tuition.
